Тематики группы:
- фотовозбуждение, перенос энергии и заряда в композитах полупроводящих полимеров, фуллеренов и нефуллереновых акцепторов – современных материалах активного слоя фотовольтаических ячеек (исследование магнитно-резонансными, оптическими и фотоэлектрическими методами);
- синтез и применения добавок, модифицирующих морфологию активного слоя фотовольтаических ячейках, в том числе функционализованных углеродных нанотрубок;
- изучение механизмов деградации фотовольтаических ячейках и разработка способов предотвращения этой деградации.
Международное научное сотрудничество:
В 2001 – 2003 гг. Леонид Кулик совершил несколько визитов Лейденский университет (Нидерланды), где изучал индуцированное светом разделение зарядов в фотосинтезирующих бактериальных реакционных центрах.
В период с октября 2003 г. по март 2005 г. Леонид Кулик работал в группе профессора доктора В. Любица в Институте бионеорганической химии им. Макса Планка, Мюльхайм-ан-дер-Рур, Германия, в рамках исследовательской стипендии, присуждаемой Фондом Александра фон Гумбольдта. Работа касалась импульсного ЭПР и ДЭЯР (электронно-ядерного двойного резонанса) исследования кислород-выделяющего комплекса фотосистемы II растений.
В 2015 - 2017 годах был осуществлен проект сотрудничества между научными группами Института химической кинетики и горения СО РАН (Новосибирск, Россия) Института химико-химического преобразования энергии Общества Макса Планка (Мюльхейм-ан-дер-Рур, Германия) «Светоиндуцированные процессы и парамагнитных частиц в органической фотовольтаике и фотосинтезе». Этот проект финансировался Фондом Александра фон Гумбольдта (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation). Леонид Кулик выступил координатором проекта с российской стороны.
